President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says Government will develop a new Education Policy which will include the review of the entire Curriculum.

This is aimed at meeting the learning needs of Zambians amidst emerging challenges of Climate Change, Digital Literacy and Culture Diversity among other things.

President HICHILEMA says Government has already started attending to some things  aimed at improving the Education sector such as the provision of free Education and employment of over 30, 000 Teachers.

He says the employment of Teachers has increased the number of personnel in Public Schools by 25%.

President HICHILEMA adds that this is aimed at enhancing foundational learning which will lead to improved skills among learners in a changing world of work.

The Head of State said this when he gave a National Statement on the status of Education in Zambia during the Transforming Education Summit Leaders Dialogue  which took place at the United Nations Headquarters.
