- Committee Activities
AmCham consists of six committees, made up of Chamber members, which help drive the organization’s activities. The committees are membership, corporate social responsibility, business linkages, fellowship, advocacy and professional development.
- Flagship Events
Amcham hosts an annual Thanksgiving Dinner in accordance with American customs and an Annual Golf Day Tournament, which are both superb networking event.
- Internship Program
We offer internships to undergraduate and graduate students to work in Lusaka, Zambia to support the execution of our mission.
- Investment Road Show
Amcham sends investment promotions teams to the United States with the goal of increasing trade and investment from the US business community.
We coordinate business-to-business matchmaking to facilitate joint-venture partnerships, teaming arrangements, and investment opportunities between U.S. and Zambian businesses.
AmCham organizes a number of networking forums where members can grow their networks. We also provide structured networking on an individual basis.
Amcham circulates news of business importance to members on a regular basis.
- Trade Financing
Amcham identifies optional approaches to trade financing by facilitating meetings with the U.S. Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), International Finance Corporation (IFC) and private institutions. We stay current on policies impacting trade between Zambia and the U.S. by participating in trade meetings between the Zambian Government and the U.S. Government.
- Trade Missions
AmCham arranges meeting with trade missions visiting to and from the U.S. in tandem with the U.S. Commercial Services Department.
